What FirmAPI covers
The database holds more than 2.1 million companies and data from 48 public registers in eight categories: identification, taxes and VAT, tax authority registers, debtors, legal risks, public sector, sanctions and identifiers, and regulated registers.
- Company identification: the register of legal entities, the Slovak Commercial Register, the register of financial statements and NACE classification.
- Taxes and VAT: VAT payers, the tax reliability index and VAT ID verification through VIES.
- Debtors: the Social Insurance Agency, tax debtors and the health insurers VšZP, Dôvera and Union.
- Legal risks: the Insolvency Register, the Commercial Bulletin, execution orders and court decisions.
- Public sector: the Central Register of Contracts, public procurement and EU funds.
- Sanctions and identifiers: OFAC sanctions lists, LEI (GLEIF) and financial market entities (NBS).
What it is used for and when it fits
- Company autocomplete by company ID in forms and sign-up flows.
- Invoicing, accounting and legal software.
- Verifying data in contracts and assessing a company's creditworthiness.
- KYB and AML checks.
- CRM and database enrichment, batch processing and exports.
Integration
- A REST API with JSON responses. API keys are generated in the dashboard, and traffic runs over HTTPS with rate limiting.
- Search by company ID, name and other criteria, plus a separate autocomplete endpoint for Select2-style components.
- Example: GET /v1/company/ico/51636549 returns the company ID, name, address, legal form and registration date.
- Webhooks and e-mail notifications on data changes, exports, and SDKs for PHP and JavaScript.
- Lookups by company ID are served from our own database, typically within 100 ms. Registers are synchronised in the background on their publishers' schedules.
Pricing and trying it out
Registration is free and needs no payment card. Search and company detail in the web panel use no credits, and the API includes 20 credits per month for free. The service is available in Slovak and English.
Technology
The web application runs on Laravel 12 with Redis, and the interface is built with Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js.
