About the project

SimpleImpose is a desktop application for imposing PDF documents for print, written in Rust with a Vue interface. It targets Windows, macOS and Linux and is in development.

What we are building

  • Nine imposition types, including N-up, step and repeat, cut and stack, saddle-stitch and perfect binding.
  • Marks: cut, registration, colour bars and fold marks.
  • Bleed, margins, master pages and creep.
  • An ICC colour pipeline and PDF/X-1a and PDF/X-4 output with a pre-export validator.
  • Variable data from CSV, Excel, JSON and SQLite, including QR, Code128, EAN-13, DataMatrix and PDF417 barcodes.
  • Templates, a wizard and undo and redo.

Status

SimpleImpose is in development and is not publicly available for download yet.
